SPANISH
I can’t believe it is almost October already!! My Spanish classes have all been busy, and my Exploratory Spanish class has started helping K-5, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders learn Spanish each week. Last week we taught them how to greet people in the morning, afternoon, and evening/nighttime, as well as how to ask someone how he or she is doing. This week we taught them names for common animals (and some uncommon ones!). Spanish 1 has been learning words for items in a classroom, school supplies, school subjects, and days of the week and months of the year. Spanish 2 has been learning about vocabulary for rooms and furniture items in a house and household chores. They have also been learning about differences and similarities between houses in Spain and Mexico and ones in the United States. This week they also started learning about how to talk about actions that happened at a definite time in the past.
