LIFE IN FIRST GRADE
First grade has had a busy month during April. We have completed our fourth reading unit. We learned about biographies. We have become quite the experts at distinguishing between fact and opinion. We are working hard to become April’s Top AR Reader. It is going to be very close. We had a wonderful day at the Children’s Expo at Southern Union. We learned about nutrition, hand washing and germs, bike safety, and how a hospital works. We met one of our heroes, Marshal from Paw Patrol.
We are looking forward to May and our trip to the Georgia Aquarium. We will also visit Valley Lanes for our end of the year party. You are all invited to awards day on May 18th. This year has really flown by.
Thanks for all you do to make sure your student is successful. They truly are a blessing to teach.
