4th Grade News
August updates

We have really started the school year off on the right foot in 4th Grade. August has been very busy! We have worked on routines and procedures and getting to know each other. Reading always opens a whole new world and this month we have read stories that focused on the diverse regions and peoples that reflect the greatness of the United States. Alabama celebrates its 200th birthday this year and we are off to a great start in Alabama History learning about the land regions of our great state. In Science, we are learning about classifying plants and animals. Our first science lab was a celery experiment to show how vascular plants draw water up from their roots. We are keeping journals in all three subject areas to show what we are learning as we go.
Thank you for a great start to the year! Mr. Belser
