These past two months have been wonderful getting to know all of the students in the sixth grade. We have been working on comprehension in the classroom with the stories that we are reading to better help the students on their tests. We have been discussing rocks and minerals in our science class these past two weeks. We were able to celebrate every student reaching fifty DOJO points with brownies this past month. DOJO is the classroom management system that we have been using in the classroom since I arrived in January. Once the students reach fifty DOJO points individually, they receive a reward. Once the entire class reaches fifty points, the entire class receives a special treat, such as brownies, pizza, or candy.
