New this year were baby snakes, both copperhead and rattlers, and a reminder that cute babies can actually inject more venom than their big parents.  We all jumped like we had been shot as the grumpy rattler struck at and popped a balloon, and laughed as the monitor lizard waved at the little guys.

Following tradition, the show ended with ALL (proud of some of you!) this year’s seniors holding the great big python, almost like Sr. Night for the Snake Show.  Thanks again to Dr. Mehaffey for arranging this perennial  favorite.
