Thursday. August 20th, the Lady Rebels took on the Evangel Lions in this year’s first area game. The JV volleyball players fought hard and valiantly! The JV girls showed nothing but continual encouragement and determination through the whole match, and although they came up short for the win, the coaches and school could not be more proud of how far along the team has come. With only four girls returning to JV with a year of experience under their belt Freshman and captain Tate, along with 8th grader Audra, 7th grader Britten, and 6th grader Bailey have all helped shape their team. That being said the other nine girls on the JV team are all brand new to volleyball, but you would never know that when watching them play. Lizzie and Shelly in the 8th grade, Madisyn in the 7th, and the remaining girls are all in the 6th grade: Lindsey, Maddie, Natalie, Kaylyn, Claire, and Jamie.
