CA Family,
I began my educational career as a teacher and still enjoy any and every opportunity to be in the classroom. I try and teach one class per semester and this academic year I am teaching an elective, Street Law. The course focuses on law-related public issues, all three branches of government, and forms of dispute resolution. I have enjoyed engaging the junior and senior class during lectures, debates, and in depth conversations about various aspects of the law. Last month we visited the Chambers County Courthouse in Lafayette and the Alabama Supreme Court in Montgomery. We have other field trips scheduled for the Alabama State House, Alabama Capitol Building, Montgomery County Jail and the Alabama Governors’ Mansion. I look forward to the remainder of the year with this exceptional group of young men and women.

Yours in quality education,

John M. Mehaffey, Ph.D.
