The sixth graders are busy, busy, busy! We have been studying the inventions of Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell. It’s hard to imagine what our world would be like without the light bulb and the telephone. We have also completed about 2,600 math problems this year. We are studying the order of operations (Please My Dear Aunt Sally) and working with new formulas.
Joann was our top AR reader for February and has read almost 5 million words this year. That’s a lot of words! Daniel is in second place with over 1 million. As a class, we have read almost 10 million words!
We are proud of our baseball and softball players: Braxton, Payton, Daniel, and Audra.
Time is getting away from us, and graduation will be soon. The most exciting thing is that we only have one more poem to learn!
