The ninth grade Algebra I class is solving equations. They start off with one step and then move on to multiple step problems. They must also remember things they have learned about combining like terms and the distributive property to help them solve these problems. The equations they are solving this year are far more difficult then the ones they solved in seventh and eighth grade. Learning how to solve equations is an important math concept that will be used next year in Geometry and beyond.
