The eleventh grade is now studying World War One. Each student has completed a twenty two page essay about  it. We’ve learned about the trench warfare,  the new weaponry, the different sides, and what went on during the war period. We have also talked about the Blue Max quite a bit. The Blue Max was the German aviation medal given to pilots that brought down twenty enemy planes. We are currently discussing Sgt. York, who earned the Congressional Medal of Honor during World War One. After Christmas we will be moving into the Roaring Twenties era.
