Science Fair is next TUESDAY, February 12. All projects must be in place before the first bell rings. The gym will open at 7am. I encourage you to be there well before the 7:30 rush hour. Items needed: CARD TABLE, TRIFOLD, AND REPORT W/ ABSTRACT & LOG BOOK FOR GRADES 7-12. No tables will be provided, so make your own arrangements.
Student interviews will begin no earlier than 10am (3rd hour). Students WITH PROJECTS (no spectators!) will be dismissed by intercom to go the gym. You will go and stand QUIETLY by your projects and speak to/answer questions for the judges as they come by. If you do not know the answer to a question, do not try to bluff them. They are professionals. Instead say, “I don’t know the answer to that, but I’ll take an educated guess.” or “I don’t know, but I will before next week!”
Remember to be dressed neatly but “church clothes” are not required, just something neatly tucked in with a collar and some kind of buttons for the guys; ladies just need to be reminded to stay in dress code.
Since we have interviews this year, judging may run long, so please do not bring classes up until 2pm (7th period). Parents may also come in at this time. DO NOT TAKE PROJECTS DOWN UNTIL 2:30 AT THE EARLIEST, BUT ALL PROJECTS NEED TO BE CLEARED OUT BY 3. Winners, we need pictures, so be available.
