Junior High Scholars Bowl competed in the first meet of the season last Saturday at LAMP in Montgomery.  With only two veteran players, we didn’t come out on top against the large public schools we played, but considering I had 6 of our total 23 7th & 8th graders versus teams taken from the hundreds of kids at Handley, Clanton, and other schools we played, I was proud of how well my kids hung in there.

My team  now knows its weaknesses and is already beginning to work on them.  I’m looking forward to competing with them for years to come.

Team members are:  Seventh grade–Reed, Jessica, Brinson, McKenzie.  Eighth grade–Kristina (captain), Kevin (co-captain), and Olivia.
