Ni hao (“Hello” in Chinese),
It’s that time of year again when K-5 starts learning about different cultures and locations around the world. I believe it is important that every child is introduced to different cultures and traditions.  It makes them worldlier individuals. Through the next two weeks, the K-5 crew will study and learn about the Hispanic, Indian, African, European, and Egyptian cultures. The students will create works of art that coincide with the different cultures.  They will also learn how to say hello in at least 10 different languages. At the end of the unit, the students will participate in the “Hello Heard around the World” party. The students will indulge in the different cuisines that each culture/country has to offer. I hope they get inspired by the many wonders of the world.
Adios for now…
