Third Grade News
3rd grade and ziplines

September has been exciting, and I am so proud of third grade. For September, boys and girls have enjoyed learning to recite the Preamble. They worked together to color and construct a Preamble puzzle. For Science, they were very excited to make a zipline all on their own! The students discussed how before you begin a construction, a plan or layout of the design is needed. They decided they wanted to make blueprints for their zipline. After testing out different angles for our zipline string, the students discovered that for the zipline to be successful, one must consider the angle between the starting attachment and the end. Thanks to a very kind parent, each child received a toy animal to read to for twenty minutes every evening. We are also excited and looking forward to visiting the pumpkin patch!
