SPANISH
October has gone by so quickly and all three Spanish classes have been very busy. My Exploratory Spanish class has been helping me teach basic colors in Spanish to students in K-3rd grades, and we have all had fun with those classes. My students in Spanish I have been learning about vocabulary pertaining to the family, and they are currently creating their own family trees for a project. My Spanish 2 students are learning about food vocabulary and will later be completing a WebQuest about foods in Spain. In addition, they will be creating restaurant menus in Spanish and learning how to order from a restaurant in Spanish. This week all classes are also learning about "The Day of the Dead" celebrations in Mexico as November 1st and 2nd are the days when this holiday is observed.
