My Exploratory Spanish students have been busy studying about Mexican Independence Day and Hispanic Heritage Month along with studying numbers 0-30, the Spanish alphabet, and colors. They have been enjoying learning songs about these subjects as well.
Spanish I students have been enjoying teaching students in K-5 through 3rd grade about greetings and goodbyes in Spanish as well as how to ask other people for their names and how to tell others what their names are. Spanish I students are also learning vocabulary pertaining to objects in a classroom and school supplies.
Spanish II students have been learning verbs and vocabulary pertaining to planning parties and making plans in general. They have also been learning about the customs of the 15th birthday celebration in some Spanish speaking countries and Mexican Independence Day. They are now working on a group project to plan a party for one of these two types of celebrations and they have to make their plans in Spanish.
