SPANISH CLASSES
This is my first year of teaching at Chambers Academy, and it feels good to be back in the classroom after so many years of teaching online. My Spanish I class has learned about greetings, goodbyes, introductions, the alphabet, and numbers 0-30 in Spanish, and now we have started learning to tell time in Spanish (not as easy as you might think). My Spanish 2 class has been reviewing the present tense of verb forms along with vocabulary pertaining to names, school courses and likes and dislikes. We will soon begin learning how to use the past tense of verbs to talk about what they have done in the past. My Exploratory Spanish class started out by working on a small research project on the Spanish speaking country each person chose, and now we are working on a project about greetings, goodbyes, and introductions. Each student is creating a book with pictures and drawings to represent the new words and phrases we are studying. We are off to a great start for the 2018-2019 school year!
