LIFE IN FIRST GRADE
First grade has had a busy month during October. We are working hard to complete our Second reading unit. We are learning a lot about communities. Madison is our Top AR reader in October. Several other students were very close. We would like to thank Mr. Noah Hurst and the Lafayette Fire Department for bringing the fire truck and ambulance. We learned a lot about fire safety during their visit. The children really enjoyed their trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I was sick and missed the trip and would like to send a big THANK YOU to all the parents who stepped in to watch the class. In November, we will be disguising Tom Turkey to help him make it past Thanksgiving. We will also present a Veterans Day program on November 12th at 9 A.M. Soon we will have a week off for Thanksgiving and shortly after that is Christmas. This year has really flown by. Thanks for all you do to make sure your student is successful. They truly are a blessing to teach.
