FIFTH GRADE NEWS

October has been a very busy month for fifth grade. The following students met their AR goal for September: Talley, Cameron, Kayla H., Halle, Easton, Keila M., Kent, Spencer, Emily, and Meleah. Thank you to Mrs. Roxanna for treating these students to chips, cheese, and salsa on October 2. Our class also won the Box Tops for Education contest for September and enjoyed homemade ice cream on October 12 thanks to Mrs. Tonya Lovelace! Keep sending those box tops in. We would love to win again! 4-H met October 16, and the students learned about coding and competed in a relay using their newly acquired skills. Artist Becky Guinn, a quadruple amputee, shared her inspiring story and created beautiful artwork for all students in grades 4-6 on October 18. The students were awestruck watching her work with her “hooks”. Finally, a great time was had by all on our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch, October 22!
