Author Bud Allen visits on Wednesday, March 20

Bud Allen, Christian adventurer, has climbed the highest mountain on five continents including Elbrus, Kilimanjaro, Mt. Vinson in Antarctica, and Denali in Alaska. Most recently he made a solo ascent of the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas, Aconcagua, in the South American Andes. In the spring of 2009 he climbed to within 4 hours of the summit of Mt. Everest. When his oxygen system failed he was forced to rappel without oxygen 1,500 feet in the dark to safety of Camp IV. In 2013 he joined six fellow riders to bicycle over 600 miles in six days across Southern Africa to raise funds for Reaching a Generation. He is also a master diver, avid snow skier and aerobatic and jet pilot.
In his everyday life Bud is a commercial real estate developer with over 30 years in the business. He has used his practical talents for the Lord by leading numerous working witness trips throughout South America, the Caribbean and Central America building churches and Bible Schools. He is a frequent speaker sharing Christ and living in His fullness in churches, high schools and civic organizations.
Bud is married to Terri his long suffering wife of 38+ years and they have two beautiful daughters who are grown and pursuing their own careers and two incredible grand kids.
