October was a busy month for us. We traveled to Columbus, GA to watch “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs”. We dressed the part with our pig noses. During Book Fair week Harleen won the coloring contest for Kindergarten. We visited with our Grand’s during Book Fair week. We enjoyed seeing Mrs. Richardson dress up as a sheriff. We are really getting into our library books. So far we have taken 43 tests and passed 43 tests. We also celebrated with Harleen and her family the Diwali New Years with poppers and an ice cream cake. Mrs. Debbie Harmon brought us some goodies for the classroom. In class we have been busy learning about insects and spiders, sunflowers, mammals and reptiles. We completed a unit on pumpkins. We learned about the life cycle of pumpkin, made predictions about the real pumpkin, counted the seeds of a pumpkin and, to topped off the unit, craving and decorating our pumpkin. To finish off the month we are traveling with our families to the Pumpkin Patch to put all of our knowledge about pumpkins to good use. Can’t wait to see what November brings!
