Wow, I cannot believe it is already close to the end of Semester 1. All students have been working hard and have stayed busy this whole semester with both academics and extra-curricular activities. The two classes I teach are getting ready to wrap up. The juniors are finishing ACT Prep and will move on to Job Shadowing assignments next semester. My seniors are having the opportunity to go through a “mock” interview for their final. I am very excited about this as not only does it encompass everything we have done this semester from Resumes, to cover letters, to references, but gives them a real life experience that will really help them out in the future!
Recently, I took the Senior class to Southern Union’s campus in Wadley to watch tHE annual Christmas Production. Several of our students really enjoyed this trip. After this semester wraps up, Seniors should have a pretty good idea of where they are planning on going to college. We will spend most of next semester on scholarship applications and each individual senior’s plan after high school.
