Our second semester has started off strong! We came back to news that 100% of our Senior class has been accepted to at least one college or university. Many have been accepted multiple places! That is a good year in my book! Now the seniors will begin working on filling out the FAFSA. I will be helping them with this process here at the school, but a lot of it must be done at home, so, senior parents, be on the lookout for more information on that!
We are also getting in full swing with applying for scholarships. Currently, we are working on filling out the TREC application, the AMEA application, State Farm application, and a few others. If your child is eligible for any of these scholarships, please encourage and help them in applying for these.
Our Juniors have started taking Job Readiness with me this semester in place of ACT prep. In this class, the students will have the opportunity to hear speakers in the careers of their choices, go on a job shadow experience, and learn many facts associated with each one of their career choices.
