In Spanish 1, the students are learning to communicate in Spanish more and more each day. Please take the time to ask them what they are learning about. At this point, they should all be able to describe themselves or someone else based on their physical appearance, the clothes they are wearing, and their hair style. They can talk about what is typically found in a classroom and can name most body parts. They can even describe how someone is feeling. In addition, they can carry on a casual, introductory conversation with a native speaker. They have learned songs to help them learn as well. Ask them to sing them for you! I am looking forward to much more progress with this group of students.
