This past month has been full of different activities throughout the lessons. In science we discussed how the continents could have moved throughout time to the place they are now. The students hypothesized how the continents could have been put together by cutting out the continents and putting them together in different ways like a puzzle. The students also wrote two poems about a precious gift they have received and explorers/adventurers. Some of the students wrote the poems by themselves and some wrote them in a group. The poems that the students wrote are displayed in the room. The students are now preparing to write an autobiography. We are going through each step together as a class. First the class will plan their autobiography; they will construct a rough draft; they will have a partner read through their autobiography and correct the mistakes; and they will type and print a final draft of their autobiography. The students’ autobiographies will be displayed on the bulletin board outside of the classroom when they are completed. We are looking forward to more fun activities throughout our lessons next month.
