CA Family:
We took our biannual Capital City Tour as Chambers Academy students and parents visited Washington, D.C., March 15-18, 2016. Participants visited Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Our group also met with Congressman Rogers before the tour of the U.S. Capitol Building and House Chamber. We visited Iwo Jima Marine Corps, Air Force, 9-11 Pentagon, Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean War Memorials. The trip continued with a visit to the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. CA had an exciting tour of the National Cathedral and Ford’s Theater. The group spent our last afternoon in the National Mall visiting the Smithsonian Institute Complex.
Our students did an excellent job representing Chambers Academy. Thank you to all participants in making this trip a success.
Have a great Spring Break!
Yours in quality education,
John M. Mehaffey, Ph.D.
