Football is in full swing  and the Rebels are off to a hot start! The varsity team is 1-0 and ranked #10 in the state as we speak. We started the year  with a big win over Coosa Valley, 47-0. The JV Rebels are 1-0-1, with a win over Macon-East and a tie with Glenwood School. Both teams have been practicing well and are looking forward to their next games.
The theme of our football program this season is “Good to Great”, and our young men have taken it upon themselves to try to achieve greatness in their personal lives, from the classroom to the athletic fields. They are learning that to become the greatest, they must first learn to become the least and humble themselves before God, therefor putting their teammates and fellow man before themselves. The team went to see the movie “Greater” which is a powerful story about a walk-on football player at the University of Arkansas which has inspired our guys to become the best that they can be. I am really excited about the affect that this has had on our team as we progress toward our goals this season!

Until next time,

Coach Allen
