The Sociology class is at it again! A team of five students coordinated a faculty vs. student basketball game to raise money for an organization that helps villagers in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Drop in the Bucket Foundation builds wells and sanitation systems in schools in Uganda and South Sudan. Their website states that “1.4 million children died last year from a lack of access to clean water.”
Not only was the game a lot of fun for the whole school, but the group was able to raise $273! That’s enough to provide clean water for three families as well as sanitation systems for two families!
We look forward to seeing what the class has in store for the last week of school.
