Hello Spring! 6th Grade has been cramming in all sorts of lessons to prepare for 7th grade. We are excited to see Spring Break because that means we get to relax our minds for a week, and then it is back to the grind to prepare for the end of our amazing school year. Our main focus this year has been grammar, math, and writing. I believe it is extremely important for our students to know proper grammar usage (even if we don’t always speak it), so that they are able to write papers and sound intellectually advanced. I challenge them more and more everyday to use the internet and dictionary to “show, not tell.” This simply means students are not to state that their character was enthused. They are to show the reader the character’s enthusiasm through his/her actions in the story.

I am one proud teacher. We have some writers on our hands here, people!
