Luke was our Top AR Reader for December! He had the most ornaments on his AR Tree.
We had Frog and Toad Week our first week back from Christmas break.We read a nonfiction story about frogs, so we listened to chapter books about two very good friends–Frog and Toad. We choose our favorite story about them and read “A Lost Button” to K-5.
We’re still working on string puppets to present our own plays.
We celebrated our 100th Day of School on Wednesday, January 21, with activities, balloons, and cake! Many thanks to Lowe’s Pharmacy for blowing up our balloons and to Mrs. Kerri’s mom for baking us two cakes! They were delicious! I hope you saw our 100th Day posters. The children did a great job decorating them.
The second graders are learning a new way to write. They’re very excited about finally writing in cursive!
