As April comes to a close and May creeps near, I have to take this time to brag about how amazing my K-5 Crew members have been this year! Cate, Wrangler, Colton, Hannah, Titus, James, Sawyer, Hunter, Gracie, Beth, Makala, Taysia, Anna Kate, and Baylee have mastered over seventy Dolch Sight Words. They can tell time to the hour, half hour, and a quarter past. They can add and subtract numbers up to ten. The boys and girls can also tell you a ton of interesting scientific and historic facts! This is also the first year that 100% of the Kindergartners have learned to read and are taking AR tests! Over 70% of the class have made it onto the AR board (10 points or higher), and this year’s Top Overall AR reader is Beth with an astonishing 50+ points!
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and polite group of students! While we look forward to summer almost making its appearance, we are going to cherish the last few weeks left in this school year!
