All our first graders really enjoyed our Christmas break. We had exciting stories to share about presents, feasts and fun times spent with our families and friends. In January, we talked about New Year’s resolutions some of the ones we came up with were paying better attention, not interrupting, and respecting each other. We had a great day celebrating the 100th day of school. We shared our collection of 100 things. We counted our collections to make sure we had 100. We practiced multiplying by 10’s. First grade is practicing multiplying by 0, 1, 2, and 10.
We would like to congratulate Emily, our top AR reader for December and January. Also congratulations go out to Emily and MeLeah for making All A’s for the second nine weeks. Second 9 weeks A & B Honor Roll congratulations go out to Drew, Spencer, Kent, Keila, Halle, Cameron, Talley, and Zachary. All A Honor Roll for the first Semester were Drew, Emily, Kent, Halle, Kayla, Talley, and MeLeah. First Semester A & B Honor Roll were Spencer, Keila, Cameron, and Zachary. Thank you to all the first graders for the hard work you did during the first semester. Keep up the good work. I am proud of you.
Coming up in February, we will be acting in a play for Kindergarten. We will be learning how to be good citizens at school and in our community.
