The 9th grade has just concluded their unit on poetry. They were all really interested to learn about the different forms of poetry and figures of speech. I think many were even more amazed at the realization that today’s poetry is music! Coach Smith even gave the students a rendition of Luke Bryan’s “That’s My Kind of Night” in order to, of course, get a good laugh, but also to show them that today’s music is really just another form of poetry.
