What a busy few months! I would like to start off by saying how proud I was of K-4 at their Thanksgiving Program. We had a few technical difficulties but they got through them like pros! They didn’t let on that anything different should be going on. They never cease to amaze me! December has been pretty interesting so far. We have had a visit from The Grinch and Max, we have a field trip planned for Monday, and (Shhh! It’s a surprise) but we will be riding The Polar Express with K-5! Sydney, Laikan, Ty, Konnor, Ella, Jana Cate, and Ryanna have been working on putting sounds together and are reading their first words. Mostly CVC words, but reading none the less! They are showing so much progress and they seem so excited about learning! (I love that “AH-HA!” Light bulb moment!) At the start of the New Year we will begin to look at sight words, numbers to 50 (though I know they will go past this goal), dinosaurs, presidents, and much much more! Oh! The Places we go at Chambers Academy!
