Do you know what it means to walk in someone else’s shoes? Halle, Cameron, Keila, Drew, Kayla, Hunter, Emily, Beth, Talley, Spencer, and Kent have been learning different character education words for the past two weeks; respect and sharing are the first two words they learned. This week the K-5 Crew will learn about kindness and how it feels to “walk in someone else’s shoes”. I hope to convey how important it is to understand that some people are not as fortunate as others. I also hope to teach the class that showing kindness toward others is one of the most important life lessons they will every learn and that one small act of kindness can make a big impact on someone’s life. “Caring and kindness…two very simple words, but two actions that can change your world and the world around you. ” –Inspire my kids.com
