CA Family:

A K-12 institution is, in my opinion, one of the best places to work in the world. The different stages of the learning process are literally footsteps apart. Last week, I visited classrooms to observe Mrs. Williams’ K5 class learning how to tell time and count by 5’s. I traveled down the hall to Mrs. Richardson’s 6th grade class where they were learning about sentence structure. The last stop of the morning was to Mrs. Taylor’s Calculus class where Seniors were discussing the functions of two variables. We have an excellent faculty that makes the learning process fun and engaging. Our student body is receptive of our various teaching methods and work hard to excel in academics. We require a lot of our students, and they are to be commended for their hard work and determination.

Congratulations to our football team and coaches for making the 1st round of the playoffs. We are proud of the effort and commitment displayed by our young men. CA will travel to Linden, AL to play Marengo Academy on Thursday, November 7. Due to the fact that we have the best student body in the state, CA will be closed on Friday, November 8.

The PTO’s annual Meat Sale and Fruit Sale forms have been sent home. Please support our PTO and CA by purchasing these items. If you need a form, you may pick one up in the office.

As always, If I may be of service to you or your family, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours in quality education,

John M. Mehaffey
