Congratulations to the Honor Roll students listed below.  This listing indicates students with not only excellent innate ability but the will and motivation to use that ability.  Great job!!

The spring “busy season” is officially underway.  Our students, grades K-5, will enjoy the annual Easter Egg hunt at the Oaks on Thursday.  All students will then participate in the fun of Field Day on Friday.  Hopefully, the weather will hold and our activities can be held on the field.  If the weather does not allow us outside, activities will continue in the gym.  As usual, the lunchroom will not serve on Friday.  Instead, the annual staff will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, and the “Taylor Family” signature kababs.  Come prepared to enjoy the activity and the good food.

I know we don’t need a reminder, but next week is spring break.  We are all hoping for pretty weather and the time to begin our garden, travel to the beach, or just spend quality time at home with our family.  We will celebrate an Easter Holiday on Monday, April 1, and return to school on April 2nd.

Parents and other friends of Chambers Academy are asked to mark your calendars and reserve the evening of Thursday, April 4, for a Foundation Meeting.  We will be discussing the current status of our school and plans for the future of CA.  Hopefully we will have concrete information as to the impact of the recently passed tax credit bill.  This bill could provide more worthy students the opportunity to seek safe, family oriented, educational environments just like CA.

If you haven’t already, reserve Saturday, May 11, for our annual Extravaganza.  We have made several changes to this year’s event.  Primarily this year we will be contacting every known graduate of Chambers Academy and inviting them back for a great reunion.  What a great opportunity to see old classmates, enjoy a free hot dog, and participate in our usual events like the cake walk, bingo, silent auction, and ticket draw down.  It should be a wonderful day of reunion and recommitment to Chambers Academy.
