A big thank you is extended to all personnel and parents who worked hard to make our Open House a success last Thursday.  Several very promising prospects were in attendance.  Remember that prospects are always welcome at our school.  All members of the CA family are urged to constantly be on the lookout for families in need of a new school home.

If you missed the alumni vs. team basketball games last Saturday night, you missed a truly wonderful evening of good clean family fun.  Despite the fact that I was arrested by the sheriff during the girls game (for complaining about the worst officiating in the history of basketball) the girls team prevailed against the ladies alumni.  On the boys game, it became evident that the men alumni were about to leave with severely bruised egos, so the men were allowed to take home the victory.  (Great fun, maybe to become a tradition.)

A big pat on the back is extended to our high school Scholars Bowl team which represented us in Montgomery last Saturday.  Although we extracted revenge against Valley High, we were outscored by the other larger public schools in attendance.  This event is statewide and “open” to all.  Very few AISA schools participate.  Thank you, Miss Kim, for your leadership of our scholars.  They always represent our school well.

Don’t forget the Booster Club chicken BBQ at the gym on Saturday.  Plates will be served from 10:00-1:00.  Booster Club profits support all our athletic programs.  You are encouraged to support our athletes and give the cook at your home the day off.  Tickets are available in the school office for only $7.00.

Baseball and softball seasons are underway as the weather allows.  Please come out and support our young men and ladies as they compete.  The next home games will be Tuesday, 3/12/13, as we entertain Edgewood.
