We want to extend best wishes to Britne’ as she prepares to participate in the AISA All-Star basketball game Friday, 2/22/13, at 6:00 P.M. in Montgomery.  Britne’ has had a great career in basketball at CA and will be a wonderful ambassador for our school at the All-Star game.

We also have two cheerleaders who will be performing at the All-Star game, Aly and Hayley.  Congratulations to you ladies for your excellence in cheerleading.

Cheerleader tryouts are under way this week.  Miss Jane reports a smaller than usual number or girls but a very talented group trying out.  We extend “Good Luck” wishes to all trying out.

Congratulations to our high school Scholars Bowl team for their performance at the District Competition at CACC in Alexander City.  Our team finished 3rd in a field comprised of larger public schools, Springwood , and us.  Our team recorded victories over 2A Horseshoe Bend, 2A Reeltown, 4AHandley, and 6A Central of Phoenix City.  Our one loss was to Valley High by only one question (30 points).  Our performance qualified us to move on to Regional competition at LAMP in Montgomery.  Team members include:  Erin, Savannah, Zac, Austin, Alaina, Anslee and Hannah.  Great job, Scholars.  Chambers Academy will be hosting the AISA District Scholar’s Bowl competition  next Tuesday, 2/26/13.  Room assignments will be announced later.  Students are reminded to stay clear of the area designated as much as possible and to be on your best behavior.

We will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, 2/28/13, from 4:30-6:30 P.M.  The purpose of the Open House is to showcase our school, faculty, and serene environment to prospective students.  If you know families who need a school home offering a safe, quiet, Christian based environment like CA, it is not too late to call the school.  We will extend a personal invitation to the family to join us at Open House.

The Booster Club will have their annual spring chicken BBQ on Saturday, 3/9/13.  It will be a fine day to purchase BBQ for lunch and dinner and not even fire up the stove.  Remember that proceeds from our Booster club are used to support CA athletics.
