Congratulations to the girls varsity basketball team for their 2nd place finish in the Region Tournament held in Ashford last weekend.  Only an outstanding shot by an outstanding player from Lakeside kept our ladies from the championship.  A last second 3 point shot in overtime turned a 1 point CA lead into a 2 point loss, 63-61.  The CA ladies move on as they take on a very good Patrician Academy team today at 6:00.  Please support our young ladies as they continue to be tremendous role models and ambassadors for our school.

It is spring sports time!  I am certain coaches will still entertain players joining the baseball and softball teams.  It is certainly more fun to play than to simply watch.

This is a reminder that we have a long weekend coming.  Friday, 2/15/13, will be a teacher work day (student holiday).  Monday, 2/18/13, is Presidents Day, a school holiday for students and teachers alike.

Parents:  you should be receiving progress reports for the third nine weeks today.  If you have concerns about grades or other issues, please call the school office so an appointment may be set with the school personnel involved.  Remember that our faculty and staff has one professional responsibility, the growth and development of every student at CA.

All members of the CA family are urged to note the date, 2/28/13, as our next Open House.  We believe that every current CA family knows one or more students who “need” Chambers Academy.  If you know families we need to contact, simply call Miss Kerri at the school office and that family will receive a personalized invitation to come to Open House.  All school personnel will be present from 4:30 until 6:30 or whenever the last prospect leaves.  Please take the recruitment process seriously as the future of current offerings and rates depend upon an increase in student population.

We continue to have some students somewhat behind in lunch charges and monthly tuition payments.  Please make an effort to bring all outstanding debts up to date now.
