Kindergarten isn’t spooked by Halloween, not even a little! This week Spencer, Hunter, Cameron, Drew, Kent, Talley, Halle, Kayla, Keila, Beth, and Emily will learn about the history of Halloween, and why we celebrate it the way we do now. The K-5 Crew will also learn all about pumpkins. Pumpkins are always associated with Halloween, however, I want the students to learn how pumpkins relate to harvest. The students will gain knowledge about the life cycle of the pumpkin, and by the end of the week the K-5 Crew will hopefully plant a pumpkin of their very own! As an added bonus, the students will visit a real pumpkin patch on Thursday! I expect that they will have a “spooktacular” time!
