We’re so excited!   We worked hard last week getting our beds dug up and compost turned into each of our vegetable beds.  Thanks to Mr. Phil and to the Tucker family for getting those composted “stall pickings” to us.  The soil looks and feels great!

Kindergarten got mustard and turnip greens in on Monday, while 1st & 2nd got spinach and curly kale planted. We’re still waiting for some of our seeds to get here to finish their bed.   Ask any of them what the rule of thumb for seed size and planting depth is, and how we lay out patterns for our planting

Other grades will be putting in collards, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbages later this week, mulching them in with wheat straw as they go.
