Hats off to Coach Motley, Coach Smith, Coach Daniel, and the 2012 football Rebels.  It has been what coaches often call a “character building year.”  Victories have been very difficult to come by but these coaches and young men have kept their heads up, continued to work and plan for each game, and refused to give up and quit on each other.  Their exhibition of coverage, discipline, and perservance have earned them the respect of most around them including the headmaster.

The 2012 Rebels are:  Seniors, Zach and Justin; Juniors, Quadarius, Cord, Jeremy, Zac, Austin, Corey, and Taylor; Sophomores, Jay, Ben, Jared, Landon, and Tyler; and 8th grader Kevin.

Make plans now to attend our annual Veterans Day program on November 9, 2012, at 1:00 P.M., in the school gym.  Not only is this an opportunity to teach our youngsters about the brave men and women who have served in our armed forces, and all too often have given their lives to keep us free, it is also an opportunity to honor local veterans and show them they are appreciated.  All students and teachers are urged to invite Veterans (of any branch of the military) to attend our program.  Mrs. Bledsoe is again directing the program which will include participation by all our elementary  students and many high school students.

All members of the CA family should be receiving information delivered by their students or in the mail regarding our annual fruit and meat sale.  As in the past, we will make available citrus fruit from Florida Farm Bureau.  This is normally fruit picked one day, shipped that night, and delivered to us the next day.  The meat products are specialty products produced by Southern Heritage of Madison, Mississippi.  Prices of the fruit and meat products are normally lower than similar outlets and the quality is unquestioned.  We believe that almost all Southern families purchase fruit and special meat products around Christmas, so why not from CA?  Please get orders in as soon as you can so we can be scheduled for delivery the week of December 3-7, 2012.
