As always, the three weeks before Christmas are extremely busy at Chambers Academy.  Please support our youngsters in as many of their school activities as possible.

The most important activity should be preparation for semester exams for students in grades 7-12.  Exams will be Monday through Wednesday, December 17-19.  Monday and Tuesday will be full school days.  On Wednesday, high school students will be dismissed following the second exam (11:15) for class parties.  Following clean up all students should be dismissed before 12:00 noon.  Elementary classes will schedule their parties earlier and plan for dismissal at 10:30.

The AISA requires that we resubmit athletic eligibility for the second semester.  Students in grades 7-12 who wish to participate in athletics during the second semester must pass a minimum of (6) classes during the first semester with at least three (3) of those courses being core curriculum courses (math, science, social studies, and English).  This has been beaten into our athletes by coaches and administration!  Failure to meet this standard leaves us no choice but to deny participation during the second semester.

If you ordered citrus fruit and have not picked it up, please do so now.  We will have to move it around for basketball practice and games until gone.  If you failed to order but want fruit, please call Ms. Kerri in the office.  She will have a list of available “extra” fruit.

Southern Heritage meat products are due to arrive next Wednesday, 12/12/12.  You may pick this up at the end of the school day Wednesday.  It is important that you get the meat products since we have such limited freezer space.

Make your plans to attend our PTO meeting Monday, 12/17/12, at 6:00 P.M. in the lunchroom.  We will be treated to a Christmas performance by students in grades K through 3rd grade.

PARENTS, I know it is Christmas time and money is tight, BUT please make every attempt to catch up any late tuition or lunch charges now, so we can have a fresh start with the 2013 second semester.
