On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to extend thanks to our SGA for a wonderful breakfast this morning.  Some of us don’t need the extra calories but, we enjoy it anyway. Thanks again, SGA!!
Parents are advised to be on the lookout for first nine weeks progress reports which will go home next Wednesday, 9/12/12. Please review these reports, sign, and return to the homeroom teacher ASAP.
Don’t forget Grandparents Day, Monday, 9/10/12.  Teachers will be sending home specific information regarding the time and activities. We strongly encourage elementary grandparents to share this special time with our students.
Our Rebel varsity football team will be on the road this week to Ashford. Plan to leave early to support Coach Motley and our young Rebels.
Coach McGinty and Coach Capps JV football squad will visit Springwood next Tuesday, 9/11/12, for a 6:00 game. The JV cheerleaders will lead a pep rally for the JV team at 2:15 prior to the game. Come over to Lanett and support our JV team in their first game.
Mr. Buster Reese and the White Plains committee are constantly sharing information about the upcoming Country Fair. I will simply encourage every Foundation member to be available to help with this year’s Fair.  The new location, longer hours, and combination with the Sheriff’s Department Rodeo, sets the stage for a much more profitable Fair. If we all pitch in and supply the man power, the sky is the limit for future country Fairs.
A big “Thank You” to all who contributed magazines to the library collection. If you forgot, we could still work in a last minute subscription for our student use.
